Olive Safed Hotels

Situated between Arlozorov St. and Artists’ Quarter St., in the heart of Safed’s OId City, stand three small boutique hotel compounds. Each is part of Olive Safed and is a short walk from the others. The first, Rosentalis, is located in an ancient stone building and features six charming rooms, each offering the type of privacy and serenity that makes for a perfect vacation. Art aficionados will enjoy the works of the late artist Moshe Rosentalis, on show throughout the hotel. This building hosts the reception desk and dining room for all three Olive Safed compounds.

Avney HaKhoshen, the second compound, is situated in an ancient caravanserai about 200 years old, which has been renovated and restored, while maintaining the sense of the original historical structure. This stone building is located in the Artists’ Quarter, and it blends seamlessly into its surroundings, with Safed’s enchanting Old City above it, its alleyways. ancient houses, markets, galleries and artists’ homes.

The three-story Avney HaKhoshen features seven rooms surrounding a covered central courtyard. The design of the rooms, a blend of the old and the new, was inspired by the breastplate worn by the High Priest when the Jewish temples stood in ancient times - a piece of jewelry of multiple significances, says the Kabbala (an ancient Jewish mystical text).Each room bears the name of one of the breastplate gems.

The third compound, the Pelakh HaRimon Hotel, is situated at 55 Arlozorov St., a charming mountain-slope location with mesmerizing views of the Upper Galilee. Mt. Meron and the rooftops of Safed too. Pelakh HaRimon offers four pampering, spacious, 60m2 suites, each designed with its own characteristic hue, with the color-coordinated wallpaper blending in with the soft sofas, decorative pillows, dining area and all the other elements. The suites are suitable for accommodating a couple with pampering pleasure, or a family with up to two children, with the youngsters bedded down on a convertible sofa in the living room.
